The hospital was selected to be Leading Medical Technology Development Project to attract overseas patients under “cardio cerebro-vascular disease,” hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Leading Medical Technoology Development Project is the project that the country provides marketing and infrastructure to excellent medical technology with potential in order to prepare for the country’s rapid growth of medical tourism industry and diversify unequal regional distribution of patients.

As part of this business, the hospital invited a cardio-cerebrovascular patient from Russia with the help of Incheon Medical Tourism Foundation, Russian agency, and various press, and provided treatment fees. The patient chosen for this project was in a condition that needed heart surgery immediately; if she delayed the surgery, there was a high chance she would suffer heart attack. With the help of Inha University Hospital, she was able to successfully undergo a heart surgery. She mentioned, “I was touched by such heartwarming medical service from Inha University Hospital, and I was able to go through the treatments comfortably with Russian medical coordinator translating and guding me.
