Blue-green algae, Spirulina, my new favorite dietary supplements

Every morning, what I take is blue-green algae, Spirulina tablets.

Spirulina can be made into tablets, powders, and capsules because the origin source of Spirulina looks like sticky green mud.

  • What exactly is it?

Spirulina is a cyanobacterium, a natural algae.

  • Why are a lot of people crazy for it?

Rome, in 1974, at the Unite Nation's World Food Conference, It was announced that "Spirulina is the most ideal for mankind."
In 2003, UN established the Intergovermental Istitution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Agains Malnutrition.

  •   According to some academic researches,
Spirulina is 65% protein and amino acids including the essential fatty acid gamma linolenic acid (GLA).
Spirulina contains Omega 3-,6 and 9s and is especially high in Omega-3s.
Spirulina is extremely high in Chlorophyll
Spirulina has a very high concentration of bio-available iron
Spirulina is a great source of other nutrients. (Get more at wellnessmama.com/4738/spirulina-herb-profile/)

However, At present, these studies are considered insufficient scientific evidence to recommend Spirulina supplementation for every person, and constantly, further research is required to make the benefits clarified.

I take around 50 mg of Spirulina tablets(=20 tablets) every morning.

I have never used powder type of Spirulina yet. There are many Youtube videos introducing recipes with Spirulina powders. Normally, a cup of smoothie and energy bars are pretty easy ones to make for daily food.
Let's take a look.
