Matters to be attended prior to health check-up & Health check-up program brochure


Inha University Hospital provides you with detailed information on the matters that can happen while scheduling a health check-up.

* For those who have an appointment scheduled on the day of entering the country the
following circumstances apply
1) When there aren't any colon or rectoscope check-up is scheduled: You may have your in-flight meal 5 hours before your scheduled appointment, and have plenty of rest to prevent tiredness of the body and within 8 hours of your appointment, do not drink water or any other beverages. If you are thirsty, you may drink one small paper
cup amount of spring water.
* For those who have an appointment scheduled on the next day of arrival2) When a colon or rectoscope check-up is included in the schedule: If you are arriving in the evening of the day before the check-up, request for porridge as your second in-flight meal and make this your last meal before the check-up. You may also drink plenty of spring water afterwards. On the day of the check-up, do not drink water within 8 hours of your scheduled appointment.  No chewing gum, cigarettes or candies are allowed. If you are thirsty, you may drink one small paper cup amount of spring water.
* For those who are picking up the materials at the airportAfter going through the entire arrival process, go on down to the first floor of the basement and proceed on towards the “Inha University Airport Medical Center.” Once there mention your name,  the time of your reservation and then collect your materials.
* For those who aer to be picked up at the airport and escorted on to the center for an overnight    check-upA representative will be waiting for you at the gate. You must notify us of your arrival time and flight number.
If you cannot find the representative for some reason, dial the number of the cellular phone that you were
instructed to call or go to the Airport Medical Center, located on the first floor of the basement.


(1) A container for a feces sample (A sample feces of the size of a kidney bean must be provided either on the evening before the check-up or on the day of the check-up)
(2) A health survey must be completed
(3) On the day of check-up, it is advised that one stop taking the medicine that one normally takes. However, those persons who are on hypertension medication should take it on the morning of the day of check-up (approximately 6A.M.) with the least amount of water as possible.
(4) Payment of a check-up should be made on the day of a check-up at the window located in the center. Cash in the form of KRW (Korean won), cashier's checks and credit cards are acceptable. (No traveler’s checks or cash in the form of any dollars are accepted.)
-Foreign residents must have in their possession a skypass (each, respectively) in order to receive a 20% discount on a regular or general check-up.
(5) Absolute fasting not only breakfast (I'm sorry, but couldn't quite make out what was being conveyed about fasting and breakfasts.), water, cigarettes and gum are prohibited. (Brushing one's teeth is permitted)
(6) Do not have valuables and accessories in your possession.
(7) You may wear your glasses or contact lenses. (Do not wear hard lenses)

(1) A check-up cannot be conducted on those who are pregnant or are in the process of going through one's menstrual period. (It is best to schedule the check-up date 5 days after the last day of your period.)
(2) Please avoid bringing along any children.
(3) The length of time of any given check-up may vary based on the selection of an item, but it will roughly take about 3-5 hours.  Rest assured, there will be a comfortable and convenient private space provided for those
persons that have accompanied you.
(4) Please use the underground center parking garage at the time of check-up.
