Introducing Incheon Cardiovascular Cluster

Incheon, the third largest city in Korea, has played the role of the official gateway to Korea and the hub for northeastern Asia as the host city of internationally acclaimed Incheon International Airport and Port of Incheon. Songdo International Business District (SIBD) built on 1,500 acres of reclaimed land along Incheon’s waterfront is designated as the first Free Economic Zone of Korea by the government. Incheon as the hub city for BioㆍPharmaceuticalㆍMedical Industries successfully hosted Global Medical Training Center (GMTC) along with many international hospitals, companies, and educational institutions. The recent decision of UN’s Green Climate Fund (GCF) selecting Songdo IBD as its host city once again provided the opportunity for Incheon to grow further.

Korea is renowned for its excellence in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular treatment worldwide. Ability to perform surgeries with high technical difficulty and utilize state-of-the-art equipment appropriately to its full extent has earned the position of the world’s best in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular treatment. Incheon Cardiovascular Cluster (ICC) is launched to provide professional and high-quality medical care for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular patients by taking full advantages of geographical, environmental, and technological benefits of Incheon summarized above.

Incheon Cardiovascular Cluster features 4 JCI certified medical institutions – Inha University Hospital, Gachon Gil Hopsital, Incheon St. Mary’s Hospital, and IS Hanlim Hospital specialized in cardiovascular treatment. ICC provides one-stop medical curating service for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular patients from their arrival to departure through the professional collaboration of medical institutions, Incheon Medical Tourism Foundation, and private institution specialized in medical concierge service.
