What is Angina pectoris/stenocardia?

Beside myocardial hypertrophy and vavular disease of heart, thyroid hyperfunction, moderate anemia, and nicotinism can generate the seizure. It is usually shown in mid-aged male. The most common one is caused by climbing up the stairs and exercising, and it is elaboration angina which is settled down when the work is done.

Also overeating, smoking and facing cold air can be the reason, too. The characteristics of pain of angina are feeling oppressed, zonethesia, and burning sensation in the back side of the sternum. It lasts from few second till few minutes, rarely over 15minutes. Frequency is diverse as well, from several times a day until one seizure for several weeks and months.

When the blood pressure is dramatically reduced, you should consider myocardial infarction. The treatment should start from clinical sign and it is also possible with electrocardiogram. However, it is difficult to get an ECG during the seizure due to the short time. When one does not have seizure, the exercise tolerance test is done to get an ECG.

The treatment for basic disease is needed but usually it is not ready. It is important to avoid those factors mentioned before, and the vasodilator or tranquilizer is used after seizure. The progress is diverse. For some, the term of seizure is few months when it is slight illness, while others die out of cardiac infarction after few days.
